After a week of relative peace and calm in Ireland, we set off for a road trip around the UK to visit Jo's friends and family. During the 500 mile round trip we were spoiled with good food, great company and quite a few drinks along the way.
We also managed to catch a Premier League game - Aston Villa vs. Wolverhampton. The Wolves (Wolverhampton Wanderers) are Jo's team. Her dad is originally from the area. And naturally Nick has also adopted them as his EPL team. The game was at Aston Villa so we got to experience some traditional abuse from the home team supporters. We didn't win the match but we did draw to come away with a point and a few hours on top of the league :)
On our whistlestop tour we also squeezed in some sightseeing with Cambridge, the Houses of Parliament and the Tower of London. Thanks to all who fed and watered us over the last week, very much appreciated!
Now the rucksacks are packed and we're getting excited about the Asia leg of our trip. Next stop Kathmandu, Nepal.
